FRRRPLYWOOD PRODUCTION/QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR- 1 pos;
Whitehall, NY. Coordinate with VP/set annual and periodic production goals. Prepare budgets for production, labor, materials. Oversee purchase/ordering of production materials. Regularly use Microsoft Office. Supervise setting of panel construction according to specific wood species, press parameters and ANSI/HPVA industry codes, working with veneer composers, patchers, glue spreaders, hot press, etc. Oversee material flow and ensure all production time frames/goals are satisfied. Ensure that staff implements production/quality control processes and procedures, and all quality control goals and objectives are met. Supervise/training of « Lead » and production personnel in production, quality control and reporting procedures. Perform and review time/motion studies to confirm plant meets production quota and quality control objectives. Increase efficiency and cost effectiveness through use of Continuous Improvement program. Conduct periodic performance reviews with staff and follow all company practices and procedures as applicable.
Reqs: HS Degree plus 4 yrs experience in veneer core Hardwood Overlay Stock Plywood production; 4 yrs exp. in supervise & train subordinate staff in safety practices, quality assurance and productivity achievement; 2 yrs exp. use of phenolic & urea resins w/in plywood industry; and 1 yr exp. as Project Manager within Plywood & Veneer environment.
